Police have a 27 year old man in custody following Saturday morning's homicide in East Vancouver.
Sergeant Randy Fincham says the death was a result of a fight between two men on Venables Street near Commercial Drive.
"We don't believe at this point that there was a weapon involved. The investigators will be working today to determine what this fight stemmed from and what caused this altercation between these two men."
Police are not releasing the name of the man in custody at this point.
No charges have been laid.
The victim's name is being held until next of kin are notified.
This is the city's second homicide of 2013.
