The first man convicted under Canada's Sex Tourism laws has voluntarily accepted restrictions on his behaviour as recommended by Crown Counsel.
Crown spokesperson Neil MacKenzie, "Donald Bakker consented today to being placed on a two year peace bond with a total of 21 conditions. The conditions imposed were generally those that the Crown was seeking in the case and they are intended to reduce the risk of his re-offending by placing a number of restrictions on his activities in the community."
Bakker can't be in contact with anyone under the age of 18 and must avoid sex trade workers.
Abbotsford Police have issued public warnings about Bakker saying he likes to video tape himself abusing vulnerable sex workers.
Bakker, who was in prison for seven years after pleading guilty to sexual assaults, will be in Court in April for breaching conditions.
