The province's police watchdog is sending investigators to Vanderhoof to determine what role a mountie had in a crash that sent three people to hospital Sunday morning.
"So essentially what we'll be doing is, is we will be investigating to No. 1, clarify the role of the officer in this. We understand there was no chase and we'll certainly look at what the level of involvement was with the officer," said Owen Court with the Independent Investigations Office.
Court says the officer saw a car stunting in a parking lot, did not pursue the vehicle, but found it nearby crashed into a signpost.
