Liberal MLA Kevin Falcon is back at the Legislature today for the first time since he raised questions about Premier Christy Clark in a newspaper interview last week.
Falcon had suggested Clark overstepped by promising to build the world's tallest wood building in Prince George when the Treasury Board had made it clear there was not enough money for the project.
Today the former Finance Minister says Clark has his support.
"She does, absolutely. The Premier has my support, the ministers from Prince George have my support they've done an exceptional job over the years and as I said, I was very distressed to read that people were trying to infer there was an implied or outright criticism, that was absolutely not my intention."
Falcon denies he's trying to distance himself from his former leadership rival as he heads into political retirement.
