A fierce fish farm critic and noted biologist is taking a serious look at a run in Provincial politics this May. Alexandra Morton says she is fed up with the silence from the NDP on the fish farm issue, "I think they need to recognize that the real economy in British Columbia, the larger economy throughout all of rural British Columbia, is the wild salmon economy it is huge. I challenge the NDP to look at this clearly."
Morton says if she does launch a bid to become an MLA she likely won't do so under any party banner, "If I was going to do this I would run Independent, I believe, because I am not a politician."
Morton says the NDP Government of the '90's is to blame for fish farms.
