Emergency crews are dealing with a crash between two boats off the Sunshine coast.
Joint Rescue Coordination Centre's Matt Thirkell says they got the call about the emergency in Half Moon bay just before the noon hour.
"A collision between two small vessels in the water. both vessels were observed to head to a nearby boat ramp. Police and ambulance are in attendance at this time and Coast Guard auxillary units from the local area are also on scene. First aid is being provided for a number of injuries, we don't have a good description of the extent of the injuries at this time."
Thirkell says it may have been foggy on the water.
Two people have been injured.
One of the injured is a child who has been airlifted to Children's hospital.
The child's condition is unknown.
