Another reminder about the dangers of backyard pools as the weather warms up.
A 5-year old boy is in critical condition after falling into the pool at his grandparents' house in North Vancouver.
RCMP Inspector Tim Shields says the child was pulled from the water just after 6:00 p.m.
"We're not sure exactly how many minutes the little boy was under water. He was discovered by family members who immediately provided CPR and of course called 9-1-1. He was transported to children's hospital where he is now."
The home is on 11th Street near Grand Boulevard.
