Honour killings and marriage fraud are among the new topics in Canada's revamped immigration guide.
It's twice as long as the previous edition published in 1997 and features practical information on different topics like finding language classes and getting a drivers licence.
Immigration Minister Jason Kenney says it also deals with difficult issues.
"So for the first time the guide states that for example female genital mutiliation and so called "honour based" crimes are barbaric and will not be tolerated in Canada it also informs readers that forced marriages and polygamy are illegal here."
The new guide cost 400-thousand-dollars and Kenney says that's good value to advance integration by new immigrants.
