A Simon Fraser University professor and runner who was minutes away from the twin bombings at the Boston Marathon is organizing a run Sunday afternoon to support the victims of that terror attack.
Psychology professor and marathon runne,r Rachel Fouladi says the symbolic run is a way of returning to normality.
"It's part of the healing process and part of moving forward. And I think in response to what happened on Monday, all that I can do is put one step in front of the other and do the things that I love to do, do the things that need to be done, and not be stopped."
The hour-long run begins at Terry Fox field at SFU's Burnaby campus at 2pm, with runners encouraged to wear Boston marathon blue and gold.
