The RCMP and the Search and Rescue Team continue to search for a young man swept away in the water at Golden Ears Provincial Park on Friday.
RCMP Inspector Davis Wendell says the search has been hampered because of the conditions.
He says they have been unable to send divers or robotic cameras into the river because it is unsafe.
"Sending them in is contingent on weather conditions and the speed of the water, so it certainly won't be in the immediate future based on the speeds today."
Wendell says the RCMP helicopter has been making passes over the area since noon today.
He says they will continue their search for the missing man until they run out of light today.
Mounties say the two young men were swimming in the water Friday, before being swept away by a strong current.
One body was pulled out of the water yesterday night.
The RCMP is not releasing the victim's name yet.
