A man is in hospital after he was shot by a police officer at a Surrey skytrain station.
BC's Independent Investigation Office say officers were called to the Scott Road station at around 7:30 Saturday night.
IOO spokesman Owen Court says the officers responded to reports of a man threatening passengers with a knife.
"From my understanding there was some sort of altercation with police during which one adult male was shot"
Court says the man was taken to Royal Columbian Hospital where he is now being treated. His condition is unknown.
