Members of the jury at the Queen of the North trial have been promised they’ll be allowed to vote in tomorrow's provincial election.
The six men and five women have been sequestered since late Tuesday afternoon.
They're now deciding the fate Karl Lilgert, the navigation officer charged with criminal negligence causing the deaths of two passengers when the ship ran aground and sank in 2006.
If no verdict is reached tonight, arrangements have been made for jurors to cast their votes at a local polling station.
Staff with the ministry of justice have confirmed they will be escorted there by sheriffs.
