The federal minister responsible for transport and infrastructure has spoken to local government representatives gathered in Vancouver.
At the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, Denis Lebel said, overall, the feds will invest $70-billion in infrastructure -- $53-billion will go to provincial, territorial and municipal infrastructure.
"Most important, our plan is set for ten years. There's no need for anymore year-by-year lobbying."
N.D.P critic Olivia Chow says it's a new plan with old money.
She adds it's a cut of $5-billion over the next five years.
