The BC Teachers' Federation says the move towards revising the kindergarten to grade ten curriculum is too rushed.
BCTF President, Susan Lambert says the timeline set out by the education ministry to revise the curriculum is too short.
"I think it's an overly ambitious goal I'm concerned about that. We used to do curriculum revisions over the course of at least a year maybe even 18 months or two years and then have a pilot year and then get the feedback and then do the permanent changes so this is very rushed."
The plan was first unveiled about a year ago but Lambert says only two months ago were curriculum committees put together.
The committees have been told to try to create curriculum revision by the end of June so it can be piloted in the fall.
Some changes on the table for discussion - making the curriculum more "tech" friendly and developing more personalized learning.
