New discussions about the future of the Pattullo Bridge get underway tonight.
Derek Zabel with Translink says people will get a chance to discuss whether the bridge should be fixed up or replaced, and how.
“(There is a) wide range of options available, including no bridge, even a tunnel option as well. Of course, the review partners are aiming to determine one or more alternatives that meet the needs of the communities connected by the bridge."
Zabel says Translink and the cities of New Westminster and Surrey host four small group meetings starting tonight. Registration is required.
The first of six open houses is Thursday night. They run until June 15.
Zabel says a shortlist of viable options for the 75-year-old bridge will be compiled by the fall.
