It's wait and see for people in Calgary as flooding continues, and more water is expected in one of two rivers that runs through that city.
Joe McFarland is a reporter for CKNW's sister station, QR77.
He says the Bow River is still going to be adding about 30 to 35% more water.
He says it's difficult to say what that will mean in terms of damage.
"Right now there is some flooding already in some of the low-lying areas, that kind of thing. The Glenmore Reservoir which feeds the rivers, it and the dam there, the water was actually going over top of that at times overnight."
McFarland adds everything is structurally sound, but he says the amount of water that comes from the mountains will affect the amount running through the streets.
McFarland says the Elbow River is already peaking -- it's hoped there won't be a secondary peak.
Schools are out, and businesses in the downtown core are being told to only have essential staff come in.
