A 71 year old Abbotsford man is facing attempted kidnapping charges.
Patrick Marini is accused of trying to walk away with a 12 year old boy at the Clearbrook library on George Ferguson Way.
The boy refused and went to tell his parents, who contacted police.
Marini was previously convicted on a sexual assault charge, and had earlier been ordered to stay away from kids.
