A Mountie who crashed her car while impaired has been fined and handed an additional driving ban.
Constable Tina Kerton originally pleaded not guilty to two charges but today changed her plea to guilty but to a lesser charge.
The judge noted she has taken responsibility for her actions, and has the support of the RCMP.
Kerton stood in court and tearfully told the judge it won't ever happen again.
She was handed a one thousand 150 dollar fine.
The judge also ordered an additional 45 day driving ban, crown had wanted the ban to be four or five months in length.
Kerton's defence lawyer says she has paid almost 30-thousand dollars since the January crash and suffered under intense media scrutiny.
Kerton was arrested in January, 2012 after crashing her car while off-duty on Highway One.
