The B.C. wildfire management branch says all the ingredients are in place for dangerous fires to begin popping up.
Fire information officer Kevin Skrepnek says most of the province is at a high wildfire risk.
But Skrepnek adds there are areas rated extreme in Whistler, Prince George and in B.C.’s southeast.
"We have responded to 464 fires so far this year, which is well below average. But we haven't experienced a whole lot of lightning activity yet this year and certainly with conditions, both with high temperatures, but also low humidity that is going to be optimal conditions for a wildfire to start so that is definitely a cause for concern."
He says campfire bans might be pending in a region by region basis.
An evacuation alert has also been rescinded for the Lizzie Creek wildfire near Pemberton.
