The discovery of a body in Surrey today has police cautioning it might not be murder.
RCMP Cpl. Bert Paquet says someone called 911 from a wooded-area near the 13900 block of 70 Avenue and investigators have yet to determine how long the body was there.
"This would appear to be recent, but unknown exactly how long the body would have been there and that'll be part of our investigation as soon as we can find out not only a gender and an age, but hopefully, can confirm the identity of the body we found."
Paquet adds members of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team have not yet been called in.
