Members of the Fort Nelson First Nation have travelled to Vancouver to protest water licences they fear the Government is set to grant to natural gas companies.
Chief Sharleen Wildeman says the Government isn't listening to her concerns, "Our community is increasingly getting frustrated with the pushback and without consulting with us. So, it's come to a time when our community wants to take a stand and let BC know what's going on."
Wildeman says gas companies have applied for 20 licences on her nation's traditional territory. She fears that could cause severe environmental damage.
