The official court battle between the operators of two private Vancouver health clinics and the BC government has been delayed.
Lawyers were supposed to spend two days next week in front of a BC Supreme Court judge arguing whether the clinics owned by prominent doctor Brian Day should be allowed to keep charging customers for services already covered by Medicare.
Staff with the Ministry of Health say both sides have agreed to temporarily adjourn the injunction application.
This latest delay stems from the Medical Services Commission making an application to strike some affidavit material filed by the clinics in response to stop orders issued by the MSC in July.
Once that's settled, dates will be re-scheduled for the hearing originally slated to take place in September.
The MSC application will be heard Tuesday.
