BC's FInance Minister came out of an economic forecast council meeting feeling somewhat hopeful.
Mike de Jong says the economists and big bank representatives sounded a note of cautious optimism on the BC and Canadian economy.
He says they also expressed optimism about our neighbours to the south.
"Something that may have surprised me a little bit today was the extent to which just about maybe everyone in the room tended to be more optimitic about what's going to happen in the US - over the short to medium term - than I would have thought so, if that is so, that is good news for us."
However de Jong admits the province is still going through tough fiscal times and faces challenges.
