The BC NDP’s Finance Critic says he heard the message loud and clear from the members of the Economic Forecast Council
Bruce Ralston says most on the council agreed with the NDP’s position on improving skills training.
Ralston says he also took note over their advice when it comes to balancing the provincial books, "and they spoke of flexibility in the medium term so again I think that is a realistic note certainly our target is to balance the budget. But I take some heat of the concern expressed by the bank experts that it is important to be flexible and not balance at all costs."
When asked what those costs might be he said doing things like closing hospitals to balance the books makes no sense.
