Burnaby car port fire not suspicious

Burnaby RCMP is now saying a fire Friday evening is not suspicious.

Sergeant Jolaine Percival says video surveillance shows the fire may have been started by a light fixture.

"The fire is still under investigation, we are still covering off some avenues of investigation at this time, but we're deeming it not as suspicious as it first was reported."        

The fire destroyed eight cars in a car port at Nelson and Imperial Street.
