Thousands of drivers hoping to catch a break on tolls for the new Port Mann Bridge waited until the last minute to register.
"It's been all hands on deck. It's been very busy here," says Max Logan, who speaks for the TReO program.
Logan says the demand has grown from about three thousand people registering per day two weeks ago, to three thousand per hour.
"But, what we have done is extended our hours on the phones and also at our Coquitlam service centre for those who want to register in person. We'll have people available until midnight if you want to leave it to the very last minute."
Anyone who hasn't registered by midnight will not be eligible for up to 20 free crossings, but if you register by the end of February, you can still qualify for half-price discounts in effect until December of next year.
Logan was speaking with CKNW’s Gord MacDonald on the World Today Weekend.
