Homicide investigators have now released the names of the men charged in the death of 19 year old Maple Batalia.
Superintendent Kevin Hackett.
"Charged with the first degree murder of Maple Batalia, is 20 year old Gurjinder (Gary) Dhaliwal, of Surrey. Also charged, is 22 year old Gursimar Singh Bedi. He's been charged with manslaughter while using a firearm, and accessory after the fact."
Both men are in custody and are set to appear in court in Surrey on Monday.
Dhaliwal is Batalia's ex-boyfriend.
Batalia was shot in the parkade at the Simon Fraser University campus in Surrey in September of 2011.
Maple's sister Roseleen Batalia thanks the IHIT team, the Surrey RCMP, and the community.
She says the day is bittersweet.
"Hopefully we'll get some sort of closure out of this, and it's definitely going to give us a little bit of a piece of mind. Like I said, we won't get her back, but it definitely will help in the healing process. We can finally start to grieve."
Roseleen says it's been a long wait, but worth the wait.
