After two weeks of repairs and clean up after a flood, Surrey Memorial Hospital's Emergency Room will re-open at 8:30 Monday morning.

Fraser Health Authority spokesperson Roy Thorpe Dorward says clean up and infection control inspections have been completed.

But Thorpe Dorward says while most everything will be back to normal the MRI machine remains flood damaged

"The outstanding piece is the MRI and we have technicians in there this week that are giving us an analysis on that and MRI on its own could cost a couple of million dollars so that could significantly affect the bottom line. The MRI will continue to be offline at Surrey Memorial hospital so patients at Surrey Memorial will get their MRI treatment at the Jim Pattison centre."

Thorpe Dorward says damages estimates are between two to three million dollars but might rise further yet.
