Saanich Police are investigating an attempted abduction of a 17 year old girl last night.
Police say they got multiple 911 calls around 6:30 from the 1700 block of De Souza Place.
A woman could be heard screaming and calling for help.
Police say the victim was pushed into a waiting van, and but managed to get out.
Another 17 year old girl intervened and was assaulted.
The first officer on-scene noticed a white van fleeing with a side door open.
The van was later found in the 1800 block of Fairburn Avenue.
It was tracked to a local UHaul outlet.
A 34 year old suspect was arrested around 11pm.
