The NDP'S public safety critic has a suggestion for Attorney-General Shirley Bond.
Kathy Corrigan says if Bond is really concerned about pedestrian safety in the wake of a number of accidents in Metro Vancouver, she should dip into the government's advertising fund.
"15 million dollars could be better spent then on self-promoting ads and I think one good idea would be to use that money some of that money to be redirected to public advertising to promote safe driving during the holidays."
The government is spending 15 million dollars advertising its Jobs Plan.
Shirley Bond said this week she's asked her staff to look at the issue of pedestrian safety.
