A constable killed in a crash in November was speeding and didn't have lights and sirens on in the moments leading up to the collision.
Surrey mounties say the preliminary investigation also indicates Adrian Oliver was trying to locate a stolen pick-up truck.
A full regimental funeral was held one week after his vehicle collided with a semi-truck at 148th Street and 64th Avenue.
Staff Sgt. Bob Pinkewycz says he's not concerned about people possibly taking issue with that now that it seems Oliver was at least somewhat at fault.
"He was acting within the scope of his duties, whether he was slightly over the speed limit or what exactly, he was certainly operating under the auspices of public safety, and trying to do the right thing."
The crash happened November 13th.
The truck driver was unhurt.
