A home on a quiet Surrey street is at the centre of a major crimes investigation.
Residents near the house on 132nd street between 60th avenue and highway 10 say it was about 3:30 this morning when three shots rang out.
The man living next door says he saw a car take off down 132nd before police and ambulances arrived.
"They did take somebody away on a stretcher, so I had an idea that maybe it was a female. I'm not sure because I thought I heard some female voice, but that could have been one of the cops."
RCMP Constable Joe Schmidt says two people were taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries, one person has been released.
Investigators are not releasing names of the victims.
No word on what the motive was behind the shooting or if there are suspects.
This neighbour says he initially thought the noise he heard was a car back-firing.
"I was awake and about 3:30 in the morning, I heard bang, bang, bang and so, I got up and looked out of the window and I saw a car driving."
Investigators are still trying to determine exactly how many shots were fired.
