Norovirus continues to hamper operations across the Fraser Health Authority.
Chief medical health officer Dr. Paul Van Buynder says staff at Port Moody's Eagle Ridge Hospital have been dealing with a recent outbreak.
He says five or six people there have taken ill with the highly contagious virus, and one ward has been closed to new admissions.
"We are toward the end of the incident and we're hoping that we'll get the ward open even possibly today."
Van Buynder says staff across the region will continue to try and manage the virus as aggressively as possible to prevent its spread.
Hundreds of cases have been reported across B.C. this winter, hitting hospitals in Vancouver, New Westminster, Kamloops and elsewhere.
