Local supporters of the Idle No More movement plan to hold demonstrations today in Vancouver.
Protesters are set to meet at the Native Education College on East 5 Avenue near Main Street at noon.
Drumming and singing, hundreds plan to march up to City Hall, but it's not clear which route they'll take.
There, several speakers will take turns addressing the crowd, such as Liberal MP Joyce Murray, 11-year-old aboriginal activist Ta-Kaiya Blaney, and more from schools, unions and other groups.
Vancouver police plan to be there to allow the crowd to demonstrate peacefully, with minimal disruption to traffic and neighbourhood.
A demonstration at Port Metro Vancouver had been set to take place, but that may have been postponed.
