Dates have been set for a coroner's inquest involving the shooting death of a troubled man in Surrey by an RCMP officer.
Adam Brian Purdie was 28 when he died March 2nd, 2011.
The mountie involved was cleared of any wrong-doing seven months later.
Investigators with Saanich police determined the seven-year member had to fire because Purdie aimed a rifle at his cruiser after ramming it with his car.
Their review also found Purdie, who was a drug addict, fired two shots, including one at himself, but he died from a bullet fired by the mountie at his chest.
It was one of 30 shots from the officer's gun.
The five-day inquest at the coroner's court in Burnaby is slated to start June 24th.
