The journalist accused of defaming the head of Vancouver's Olympic organizing team has made more allegations of abuse against John Furlong in her statement of defence.

The 22-page document was filed Monday (Jan. 21st) in BC Supreme Court.

An article first published by Laura Robinson in September (2012) reported eight First Nations children were physically and emotionally abused by Furlong when he was teaching in northern BC more than 40 years ago.

She now claims more former students were groped by him, he beat his first wife when they were living in Prince George in the early 1970's and he repeatedly raped his former common law wife in Nanaimo from 1979 through 1982.

These allegations have --not-- been proven in court.

Furlong's suit against Robinson, as well as her publisher --The Georgia Straight-- was filed in late November.

He's accused her of acting out of malice.

When asked for comment about Robinson's legal response, Furlong's lawyers will only say they can't because the matter is now before the courts.
