The BC Teachers Federation and the BC Public School Employers Association will vote Saturday on a new deal potentially changing how bargaining works.
While the BC Teachers Federation has said they will recomend ratification to its members, BCPSEA is playing coy.
Spokesperson Mel Moy says, "we are just going to go into the discussion this weekend and we are going to see how it goes. The two parties met and came to this agreement and i think that is a very positive thing but we will be going into that discussion on Saturday."
If both sides ratify the deal bargaining will begin February 4th.
The deal would bring a facilitator into the talks right from the start and require both sides to exchange proposals within a month of talks starting.
