A three-alarm fire at the North-West Produce warehouse on Terminal Avenue kept firefighters busy Sunday morning.
Batallion Chief Randy Hebenton says he's aware squatters use the building frequently.
"I've been told that, and we did conduct an initial search looking for that, but we weren't able to make the second floor area where the fire began. There was a heavy fire load with a lot of paper products there so that is undetermined at this time and there is an investigator on scene."
About 45 firefighters and a dozen fire trucks were needed to douse the blaze.
Around a hundred new cars were in a lot behind the warehouse and needed to be towed away.
No reports of injuries or cause.
