BC's controversial Auditor-General is leaving the Province to take a similar position in Melbourne, Australia.
John Doyle says it just wasn't a good idea for him to stay after all the controversy surrounding his 2nd term.
He's been named Auditor-General for the State of Victoria, Australia by that country's Premier.
Doyle says he would liked to have stayed here but when the Liberal Government failed to back his 2nd term unanimously, he knew he had to find another position elsewhere.
The Auditor-General said he met some wonderful people in BC but there were those who didn't seem to understand accountability and transparency.
Doyle is expected to start in Australia on or before July 1.
