One of the girls accused of stabbing Skytrain travellers with a steak knife earlier this week  is still behind bars, but the other has been released from custody until her next court appearance tomorrow.

Yesterday, investigators confirmed both teens had 142 run-ins with police since January of last year.

Anne Drennan with Transit Police says several more charges have now been approved.

"The juvenile female that was brandishing the knife has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. She has been remanded in custody and her next court appearance would be tomorrow."

She's also facing five counts of breaching the conditions of release from her last encounter with police.

The other girl, who's facing one charge of assault causing bodily harm, has been released from custody until she also appears in court tomorrow.

Three people were wounded during the rampage which started around 11:30pm Monday in Surrey.

The girls were arrested at the Joyce skytrain station in Vancouver.
