The company that owns the lakelands mill in Prince George that was destroyed in an explosion last year plans to rebuild meanwhile the investigation into the blast drags on.
Sinclair Group Forest Industries says last April 23rd was the worst day in its history--two employees were killed, two dozen injured in the huge explosion and fire.
Today the company says it plans to rebuild beginning this spring, although the size and scope of the project have not been worked out.
Meanwhile the public still doesn't know what caused the explosion.
While there had been reports of excessive wood dust in the mill, Worksafe BC would not release the results of its probe last December - instead saying it would send its files to Crown counsel for review and possible fines.
That still hasn't happened, the agency says it's a complex and technical file.
