An inmate who was badly beaten by his cell mate at the Surrey Pretrial Centre is suing the wardens and the province.
Allen Douglas Ogonoski suffered such a bad beating he still has trouble with his speech and vision, has seizures and was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury.
In fact Ogonoski needs the help of an aide now.
Ogonoski was being held in a locked cell at the pretrail centre with an alleged gang member who he says intentionally assaulted and battered him.
He's not only suing him but the centre's wardens who he says are responsible for monitoring, cell assignment and the safety of prisoners.
