The Lower Mainland Bus Drivers Union is calling on the Courts to permanently ban a man from using the public transit system. A man who viciously assaulted bus driver Charles Dixon two years ago and received a conditional sentence is back in Court today. Del Louie is facing new assault charges but they don't involve any bus drivers. However, Canadian Autoworkers Union Local 1-11 President Don MacLeod says if these charges are proven in Court, Louie should be banned from riding transit, "When he was in front of the Judge for the brutal assault against Charles, Dixon said, he would never hurt anyone again."
The Union hoped the Courts would give Louie jail time the first time 'round.
