An all-party special committee of the legislature has appointed an interim Auditor General, to take over from John Doyle when his term ends and he heads to Australia.
Russ Jones is a chartered accountant and has been the assistant auditor general for 10 years.
A new auditor general will be chosen in the next legislative sitting, after the May election.
