Wednesday marks four years since a member of a prominent Vancouver family was murdered in Pacific Spirit Park near UBC.
Police are still working to solve the case and will mark the anniversary along with the family of Wendy Ladner-Beaudry.
It was a murder that stunned the city.
Just meters from the entrance to Pacific Spirit Park near 41st and Camosun along a popular path for joggers and dog walkers, Ladner-Beaudry was found dead on a sunny afternoon, just an hour before she was to pick up her daughters from school.
Months later, police were still working their way through a list of 270 persons of interest, and park users were warned to be aware of their surroundings and go out with a buddy if possible.
Police were never able to conclusively say if the attack was random or targeted.
Integrated Homicide Investigation Team Spokesperson, Sgt. Jennifer Pound says the family will speak out about the past four years on Wednesday, and will again appeal for tips toward solving the case.
