Unions and individuals gave money to the NDP last year, while corporations made up the bulk of the Liberal Party's fundraising.
Documents released by Elections BC today show the Liberals raised just over ten million dollars in 2012, about half of that from corporate donations.
Most of the rest came from individuals, and the party finished the year with about 1.8 million dollars in the bank after paying its bills.
As usual, the NDP raised less money, about seven million dollars in all.
More than half of that came from individual donors, with unions giving 1.6 million and corporations just under one million.
The NDP finished the year with a 1.6 million dollar surplus.
One note: if the NDP is elected it's promised to ban union and corporate political donations, meaning only individuals could give money.
