No criminal charges will be laid against a Creston Mountie, accused last fall of excessive force.
Back in October, a man named Tom Campen claimed to have been beaten by two officers who responded to a complaint at the Kokanee Inn.
Samantha Hulme with the Criminal Justice Branch says crown counsel has reviewed evidence submitted by the Independent Investigations Office and the Delta Police Department.
They've concluded it isn't likely the officer would be convicted of assault.
Hulme says two civilians are facing charges.
"In relation to the civilians involved in the incident, the Crown has approved charges of obstructing a police officer."
This case marked the first time the director of the I-I-O believed an officer may have broken a law.
