The Vancouver Park Board is looking to remind adults at park board facilities to be respectful. It's passed a motion calling for staff to investigate existing policies and practices, and to look at other municipalities to find new ways of making sure facilities are safe and encouraging for all kids.   Commissioner Constance Barnes brought the motion forward, "I watched what happened in Port Moody and their Code of Conduct when they put the signage up in one of the rinks and I just thought, you know something, we do have policy at the Vancouver Park Board and we do have rules and code of conduct, but it's not top of mind."

Barnes also says the case of a minor hockey coach who tripped two young players during a hand-shake after a game also inspired the motion.
