The Surrey Board of Trade's teaming up with the RCMP and the city to help businesses fight crime.
Board CEO Anita Huberman says every area of the city is different in terms of what crimes they're dealing with, "Some businesses have questions about gang related activity in their area; others have questions about break and enter and it's all about hearing the issues, working together to try and counteract a solution."
Huberman gives an example of Port Kells businesses working with police to set up surveillance to counter a rise in break and enters.
