The Vancouver Sun Run will still go ahead this Sunday. Jamie Pitblado is organizing chairperson of the run.
He says 45-thousand runners are expected. Pitblado says there will be a second look at security after the explosions in Boston.
"We have arranged a meeting with the city and the police and fire departments for tomorrow afternoon where we want to make sure that all the stakeholders that are responsible for the emergency preparedness plan are together and we can review the plan that we have and certainly make any adjustments that anyone thinks needs to be done."
Pitblado says there will be a heightened screening process for bags that are kept for runners during the race.
